Description:
At 511 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fannin, or near Flowood, moving south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Jackson, Pearl, Brandon, and Flowood around 515 PM CDT.
Monterey around 525 PM CDT.
Star around 535 PM CDT.
Florence and Piney Woods around 540 PM CDT.
Cato around 545 PM CDT.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If on or near Ross Barnett Reservoir, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Boats could be damaged
or overturned in high winds and suddenly higher waves. Move to safe
shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
