Description: 
At 114 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Smithville, or near Amory, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Amory, Aberdeen, Fulton, Okolona, Shannon, Smithville, Tremont, Prairie, New Salem, New Wren, Evergreen, Clay, Nettleton, Hatley, Gattman, Abney, Quincy, Turon, Egypt, and Wise Gap. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 100 and 117.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for northeastern Mississippi.
