Description:
At 1223 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ripley, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ripley, Baldwyn, Blair, Keownville, Dumas, Graham, Jericho, Branyan,
Ellistown, Alpine, Blackland, Birmingham, Jug Fork, Corrona, Graves,
Molino, Clarysville, Geeville, Locum, and Fairfield.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
northeastern Mississippi.
