At 305 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Sardis, or near Batesville, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Oxford, Batesville, Holly Springs National Forest, John W Kyle State Park, Sardis, Burgess, Taylor, Teckville, College Hill, and Hayes Crossing. This includes Interstate 55 in Mississippi between mile markers 243 and 257.
