At 552 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Forestdale, or 12 miles east of Philadelphia, moving east at 45 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR KEMPER COUNTY. HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 545 PM, golfball to baseball size hail was reported by emergency management near Tucker. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include... De Kalb, Scooba, Porterville, Blackwater, Tamola, Damascus, Bluff Springs, Electric Mills, Liberty, and Prismatic.
