At 1044 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Fulton to near Houston, moving southeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Amory, Aberdeen, Fulton, Houston, Verona, Okolona, Tombigbee State Park, Shannon, Plantersville, Mantachie, Smithville, Tremont, Prairie, Fairview, New Salem, New Wren, Trebloc, Evergreen, and Pyland. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 91 and 117.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for northeastern Mississippi. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
