Panola County in northwestern Mississippi... * Until 1130 PM CDT. * At 1039 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest of Darling, or 16 miles southeast of Helena-West Helena, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Oxford, Batesville, Water Valley, Holly Springs National Forest, John W Kyle State Park, Marks, Sardis, Jonestown, Crenshaw, Sledge, Pope, Belen, Darling, Pleasant Grove, Springdale, Curtis Station, Burgess, Dundee, Courtland, and Coahoma. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for northwestern Mississippi.
