Northwestern Prentiss County in northeastern Mississippi...
Southwestern Alcorn County in northeastern Mississippi...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 1025 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Snow Lake
Shores, or 10 miles east of Holly Springs, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Booneville, New Albany, Holly Springs, Ripley, Wall Doxey State
Park, Lamar, Blue Mountain, Jumpertown, Snow Lake Shores,
Keownville, Red Banks, Canaan, Hinkle, Gravestown, Slayden,
Marianna, Hickory Flat, Ashland, Potts Camp, and Falkner.
This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 21
and 59.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for northeastern
and northwestern Mississippi...and west Tennessee.
