* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Mississippi, including the following counties, in east central Mississippi, Clarke and Jasper. In southeast Mississippi, Covington, Forrest, Jones and Lamar. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A quick one to two inches within a short amount of time over already saturated soils will likely lead to flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
