...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Mississippi...Louisiana...
Pearl River Near Pearl River affecting Hancock, St. Tammany and
Pearl River Counties.
West Hobolochitto Creek Near McNeil affecting Pearl River County.
East Hobolochitto Creek Near Caesar affecting Pearl River County.
For the Lower Pearl River...including Bogalusa, Pearl River...Minor
flooding is forecast.
For the West Hobolochitto Creek...including McNeil...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
For the East Hobolochitto Creek...including Caesar...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...East Hobolochitto Creek near Caesar.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Major flooding with several homes and
business structures flooded. Low places on MS Highway 43 will be
under water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is cresting near 19.0 feet today before
beginning to fall. Additional rainfall is expected this week
and if the heaviest amounts fall in the river basin, the
river could rise again. Homes and businesses should monitor
the forecast closely.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
