Description:
At 926 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Houston, or 7 miles west of La Crescent, moving
southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Hokah around 935 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by this storm include Irish Hill, North Side
Of La Crosse, South Side Of La Crosse, Mound Prairie, The Valley View
Mall, Blue Bird Campground, New Hartford, Dresbach, Highway 33 And
Losey Boulevard, and Nodine.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 90 in Minnesota near mile marker 267, and between mile
markers 269 and 276.
Interstate 90 in Wisconsin between mile markers 1 and 6.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
southeastern Minnesota...and west central Wisconsin.
