Description:
At 812 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Frontenac to 8 miles east
of Oronoco to Elgin to near Dover. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Strong thunderstorms will be near...
St. Charles, Plainview, and Elgin around 815 PM CDT.
Altura around 825 PM CDT.
Wabasha and Kellogg around 835 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by these storms include South Troy,
Whitewater State Park, Pioneer Campground, Rattelsnake Point, County
Roads 28 And 31, Utica, West Albany, County Roads 33 And 4,
Rattlesnake Ridge, and Bremen.
This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 233 and
234.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southeastern Minnesota.
