At 714 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Courtland, or 6 miles southeast of New Ulm, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...At 7:08PM, trained spotters reported nickle to quarter size hail in New Ulm. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... New Ulm, Flandrau State Park, Searles, Courtland, Judson and Minneopa State Park.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has produced large hail.
