Description: 
At 213 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Elgin, or 7 miles northeast of Rochester, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Olmsted County, including the following locations... Ringe, Predmore, Potsdam, County Roads 3 And 108, Salem Corners, Century High School, and Highway 52 And County 14. This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 207 and 224.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for southeastern Minnesota. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
