Menominee River near Florence affecting Iron, Dickinson and Florence Counties. For the Menominee River...including Florence, Twin Falls Dam-Iron Mountain, Vulcan, Niagara. Minor to Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Menominee River near Florence. * WHEN...Until Tuesday, April 28. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flood waters affect homes along Runbers road in Florence County. This stage compares to a flow rate of 10600 cubic feet per second at the Brule Dam. At 9100 cfs, floodwaters affect a seasonal home on a private drive off Runbers Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Monday was 11.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Monday, April 27 and continue falling to 8.9 feet Monday, April 27. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
