...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Wisconsin...Michigan...
Menominee River near McAllister affecting Marinette and Menominee
Counties.
For the Menominee River...including McAllister...Major flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Menominee River near McAllister.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flood waters are covering River Drive and
Shore Drive west of Wallace in Menominee County, Michigan and South
Park Road east of Porterfield in Marinette County. This stage
compares to a flow of 24240 cubic feet per second at White Rapids
Dam. At 19.0 feet, This stage compares to the record flow of 24800
cubic feet per second at White Rapids Dam.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 19.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:00 PM CDT Thursday was 19.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.6 feet
just after midnight tonight, before slowly receding into next
week.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.0
feet on 05/09/1960.
