The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Gratiot County in central Michigan...
* Until 1145 PM EDT.
* At 1116 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located 6
miles west of Marion Springs, or 8 miles southeast of Ithaca,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Gratiot County, including the following locations...
