Description:
At 928 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Homestead to 8 miles north of Wausaukee to
near Crivitz. Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Marinette, Iron Mountain, Menominee, Kingsford, Norway, Stephenson,
Powers, La Branche, Cedar River, Hermansville, Bagley, Wilson,
Spalding, Niagara, Nadeau, Waucedah, Gourley, Daggett, Faithorn, and
Carney.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
