At 251 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Saxon, or 14 miles west of Ironwood, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield, Hurley, Little Girls Point, Ironwood Airport, Copper Peak, Black River Harbor, and Saxon Harbor. People attending Blasting at Copper Peak should seek safe shelter immediately!
