At 216 AM EDT/116 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Gile, or near Ironwood, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Porcupine Mountains State Park, Ironwood, Bessemer, Hurley, Ironwood Airport, Copper Peak, Mirror Lake, Lake of the Clouds, and Black River Harbor. People attending Blasting at Copper Peak should seek safe shelter immediately!
