At 213 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Detroit to near Carleton to near Ottawa Lake, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. These severe storms will be near... Taylor, Monroe, Flat Rock, Grosse Pointe, Carleton, Downtown Detroit, Temperance, Detroit, Dearborn, and Wyandotte around 220 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Newport, Melvindale, Gibraltar, New Boston, Erie, Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Bolles Harbor, Rockwood, and Samaria.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for southeastern Michigan. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
