Description:
The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect until 7 PM EDT this evening.
* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* Humidity...As low as 19 percent. Higher relative humidities
along the Lake Huron shoreline.
* Impacts...Any fires that develop could spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended. Visit the Michigan DNR website for
more information.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds and low relative humidity can contribute to extreme
fire behavior.
