Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast * WHERE...Portage River near Vicksburg. * WHEN...Until Sunday night. * IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, expect overflows into wooded areas, yards, a few outbuildings, and farmland adjacent to the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM EDT Tuesday, April 28 the stage was 5.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM EDT Tuesday was 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 5.2 feet tonight and then fall below flood stage Sunday night. - Flood stage is 5.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5.2 feet on 05/20/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
