.Snowmelt and recent rainfall resulting in rivers reaching critical
levels.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Peter Nordeen park on right bank floods
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 8.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 PM EDT Sunday was 9.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this evening and continue falling to 4.7 feet Sunday
evening.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
