East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn affecting Marquette County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 8.1 feet, Southgate drive near the old Gwinn Middle School floods * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 7.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM EDT Friday was 7.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.9 feet on 04/25/1960. - www.weather.gov/safety/flood
