Description:
Additional rain on top of recent heavy rainfall and snow melt has
lead to flooding across much of northern Michigan. Flows in rivers
will continue to increase and may reach critical levels.
* WHAT...Potential flash flooding caused by high flows from the
Bellaire Dam.
* WHERE...Bellaire, Michigan in Antrim county, downstream of the
Bellaire Dam.
* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Increased flows from the Bellaire Dam may result in
flash flooding of low-lying areas below the dam. Flooding may
occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Dam safety experts with state and local emergency services are
monitoring the dam and will issue a public statement as conditions

and possible warnings. Follow the advice of public safety officials.
