Description:
* WHAT...Dangerous swimming conditions due to 3-5 ft waves and
rip currents.
* WHERE...Emmet, Western Mackinac and Eastern Mackinac Counties,
and Beaver Island and surrounding islands.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water
and high waves can sweep people off piers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Cold water will lead to hypothermia if
anyone enters the water unprepared and/or unintentionally.
Instruction:
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
