Description: 
Strong to locally severe thunderstorms are expected across Northern Maine and the Central Highlands mid to late this afternoon. After an initial round of showers for northwestern areas around midday, stronger storms are expected to move into the area from the west around 3PM and move east through the rest of the afternoon. The primary threats from thunderstorms will be strong wind gusts and cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms can become severe, producing hail, damaging winds, deadly lightning, and very heavy rainfall.
