Description: 
At 556 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Pineland to near Edgerly to 25 miles south of Holly Beach. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Lake Charles, Sulphur, De Ridder, Cameron, Westlake, Iowa, Newton, Rosepine, Merryville, Grand Lake, Singer, Moss Bluff, De Quincy, Ragley, Toledo Bend Dam, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Fields, Bon Weir, Burkeville, and Lunita. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 12 and 42. Interstate 210 between mile markers 1 and 12.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
