Description:
At 142 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Greenwood, or 11 miles west of Shreveport, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Shreveport, Bossier City, Greenwood, Waskom, Stonewall, Robson,
Forbing, Taylortown, Frierson, Elm Grove, Sligo, Barksdale Air
Force Base, Caspiana, Mc Dade, Keithville, Koran, Ninock, Curtis
and Cross Lake.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
