Description:
At 927 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Toledo Bend
Dam, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
De Ridder, Leesville, Newton, Rosepine, Anacoco, Fort Polk,
Sugartown, Slagle, Toledo Bend Dam, Pitkin, Burkeville, New Llano,
Hornbeck, Hutton, Mayflower, Kurthwood, Junction, Stringtown, Lacamp,
and Fullerton.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a
small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
