Description: 
At 824 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Grand Prairie to near Cecilia to Bayou Sorrel. Movement was southwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lafayette, Opelousas, Catahoula, Eunice, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Carencro, Ville Platte, St. Martinville, Church Point, Leonville, Arnaudville, Broussard, Sunset, Henderson, Washington, Grand Coteau, Loreauville, Cankton, and Chataignier. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 94 and 121. Interstate 49 between mile markers 1 and 25.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
