Description:
At 532 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Livingston, or 12 miles west of Hammond, moving west at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Denham Springs, Walker, Livingston, Albany, and Watson.
This includes Interstate 12 between mile markers 17 and 33.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
