Description:
At 514 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
Gibsland, or 9 miles south of Homer, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Arcadia, Simsboro, Athens, Aycock, Lake Clairborne, Spring Lake and
Mount Zion.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
