Description: 
At 958 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles north of Biloxi to 8 miles southeast of Pearlington. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Moss Point, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, St. Martin, Escatawpa, Diamondhead, Gautier, D'iberville, Wade, Saucier, Helena, Hurley, Gulf Park Estates, Latimer, Kiln, and Pearlington. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana near mile marker 273. Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 76. Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until these storms pass.
