Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall ongoing.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following
parishes, Jefferson and St. Charles.
* WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 630 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding caused
by heavy rain in Destrehan due to thunderstorms. Minor
flooding is already occurring. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Destrehan is the most likely place to experience minor
flooding.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.

Kenner, Hahnville, Destrehan, New Sarpy, Norco, St. Rose,
Luling, Boutte, Ama, Taft and Killona.
- This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 219 and 222.
Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 11.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
