Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall ongoing. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Jefferson and St. Charles. * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 630 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding caused by heavy rain in Destrehan due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Destrehan is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kenner, Hahnville, Destrehan, New Sarpy, Norco, St. Rose, Luling, Boutte, Ama, Taft and Killona. - This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 219 and 222. Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 11. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
