At 1043 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Whisman, or near Campton, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Jackson, Beattyville, Campton, Simpson, Fincastle, Torrent, Burkhart, Lexie, Leeco, Fillmore, Pence, Pine Ridge, Noctor, Rock Lick, Vancleve, Moct, Wilhurst, War Creek, Vada, and Elkatawa. THIS INCLUDES Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 39 and 55.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
