At 1041 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Carlisle, or 17 miles west of Flemingsburg, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Flemingsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge, Mount Carmel, Nepton, Tilton, Craintown, Wallingford, Plummers Landing, Cowan, Poplar Plains, Foxport, Elizaville, Goddard, Ewing, Flemingsburg Junction, and Mount Gilead.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
