At 920 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest of Owenton, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Locations impacted include... Williamstown, Dry Ridge, Owenton, Corinth, Monterey, Gratz, Stewartsville, Elk Lake, Beechwood, Cherry Grove, Long Ridge, Natlee, New Liberty, Twin Bridges, Squiresville, Keefer, Camp Northward, Needmore, New Columbus, and Holbrook. This includes I-75 in Kentucky between mile markers 144 and 158. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
