At 244 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles east of Vanceburg to near Haldeman to near Young Springs, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Grayson, Olive Hill, Blaine, Grayson Lake State Park, Carter Caves State Park, Load, Gesling, Letitia, Martha, Carter, Grahn, Hopewell, Brushart, Willard, Hitchins, Warnock, Soldier, Globe, and South Portsmouth.
Instruction: 
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
