Southwestern Johnson County in east central Kansas... * Until 445 PM CDT. * At 420 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Wellsville, or near Edgerton, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Spring Hill, Edgerton, Chiles, Hillsdale, and Wagstaff. This includes Interstate 35 in Kansas between mile markers 200 and 204.
