Description:
At 1020 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Schoenchen to near
Centerview. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Lewis, Bison, Garfield, Timken, Ash Valley, Frizell, Loretta, and
Pfeifer around 1025 PM CDT.
Larned around 1035 PM CDT.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central, central, southwestern and west central Kansas.
