Description:
At 805 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a gusty winds with showers
4 miles south of Chapman, moving north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Junction City, Abilene, Herington, Council Grove, Grandview Plaza,
Chapman, Solomon, Enterprise, White City, Hope, Dwight, Woodbine,
Wilsey, Manchester, Parkerville, Carlton, Latimer, Talmage,
Moonlight, and Council Grove Lake.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 267 and 316.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
central Kansas.
