Description: 
At 554 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles southeast of McDonald, or 14 miles southwest of Atwood, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Rawlins County.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This thunderstorm will produce strong winds resulting in areas of near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Goodland. This thunderstorm is producing minor accumulations of hail, which will make driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be aware of rapidly changing road conditions.
