Description:
At 1135 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Newton, moving
east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported quarter size hail in
Newton at 1134 PM.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Newton, North Newton, Whitewater, and Newton Airport.
This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 28 and 35.

building.
