Description:
At 353 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles northeast
of Goodland, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Mesonet. A 59 mph wind gust was located around 3 miles
north of Brewster on the Sherman and Thomas county line.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Goodland and Edson.
This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 11 and 35.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This thunderstorm will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.
