Description: 
At 720 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest of Monument, or 13 miles west of Oakley, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. Accumulating hail around nickel sized was reported along Highway 40 between Monument and Oakley. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Oakley, Monument, and Mingo. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 56 and 75.
Instruction: 
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This thunderstorm will produce strong winds resulting in areas of near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility. This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be aware of rapidly changing road conditions. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
