Description:
At 712 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles northwest of Holton to 4 miles southwest of
Potawatomi Reservation to near Maple Hill, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Wamego, Holton, Rossville, Alma, St. Marys, Dover, Silver Lake,
Onaga, Hoyt, St. George, Maple Hill, Mayetta, McFarland, Paxico,
Belvue, Emmett, Louisville, Circleville, Delia, and Soldier.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 311 and 351.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until
100 AM CDT for east central Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
