Description:
At 546 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 4 miles northwest of Ruleton to 5 miles south of
Goodland to 9 miles northwest of Sharon Springs, moving east at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Public report of 1 inch hail south of Goodland.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 35.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
These thunderstorms will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.
This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
