Rooks County in north central Kansas...
* Until 1000 PM CDT.
* At 915 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hill City,
moving east at 45 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR ROOKS COUNTY.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Automated Weather Station. At 908 PM an 82 MPH wind gust
was reported at Hill City!
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm is producing widespread
wind damage and is forecast to move through Rooks County over the
next hour. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away
from windows!
If on or near Webster Lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
